The Tampa Bay Rays announced that they have reached an agreement with former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Steven Matz on a multi-year deal.

Matz had a great season split between the Boston Red Sox and St Louis Cardinals in which he finished with a 3.08 ERA in 53 games with a 5-2 record on the season.
After getting traded at the deadline, Matz had a great ending to the season in Boston as he finished with a 2.08 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched.
