Report: Tigers looking to steal Blue Jays all-star this off-season

Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette is heavily rumoured to sign with the Detroit Tigers this off season as he becomes a free agent.
The young star's value continues to rise as he is having a monster season with the Blue Jays.
Bo Bichette rumoured to be signing with AL rival Tigers
According to Jon Conahan of Yahoo Sports Bo Bichette will likely land in Detroit when he hits the free agent market this winter.
"There will be a few options for the Tigers to pursue, including shortstop Bo Bichette. Bringing Bichette to be the long-term shortstop and extending some of their top players this offseason should be at the top of the Tigers' priority list."-Conahan
Bichette has been having an outstanding season, and following an abysmal one he had last year, it has skyrocketed his value.
"«After leading the AL in hits in 2021 and '22 and making his second career All-Star team in 2023, Bichette had a nightmarish 2024, playing in only 81 games -- and unproductive ones, at that. This year, Bichette has looked like his old self, once again leading the American League in hits while hitting 16 homers with 82 RBIs and an .805 OPS in 125 games. The shortstop market will be thin this winter, putting Bichette in position to score big in his first foray into free agency.
His contract value is estimated to surpass the $200million mark, and where he ends up will ultimately depend on who's willing to fork out the cash, Detroit, the Atlanta Braves and of course the Blue Jays will all be in the mix.
Bichette is one of the key contributors to the Blue Jays success this season, not only that but he's a huge fan favourite. The Blue Jays would be wise to extend him before he can entertain other offers this winter.
