The Blue Jays were the first team to meet with Soto a couple weeks ago and reports suggested that the meeting went extremely well but fans still have a hard time believing that Soto will come to Toronto after how last year went with Shohei Ohtani.

This would make sense since if the Blue Jays are serious about trying to land Soto, the only way they would be able to land him after how terribly the 2024 season went is by making him the highest offer.
Despite many believing that Soto is just using the Blue Jays to raise his price, reports stated that Soto is willing to play for all the teams that are involved in the final bidding process.

There is a good chance that the Blue Jays end up extending Vladimir Guerrero Jr if they land Soto since it would be shocking if Soto did not tell them that he wants Guerrero in Toronto if he decides to sign.
