The Toronto Blue Jays just announced multiple shocking roster moves involving Alek Manoah, Ty France and Anthony Santander.

The Blue Jays were expected to not call up Santander right away as John Schneider stated that they would not be making a decision right away and focus on what the team needs which has changed.

Blue Jays DFA Alek Manoah

The Blue Jays announced ahead of their game against the Red Sox that Manoah has been DFA'd which came as a shocking move.
Santander on the other hand has ben activated and they have also placed France on 10 day IL with an oblique injury that will keep him out until the playoffs.
ROSTER MOVES:

🔹 OF Anthony Santander reinstated from 60-day IL and will be active for tonight's game

🔹 1B Ty France placed on 10-day IL (left oblique inflammation)

🔹 RHP Alek Manoah designated for assignment
News: The #BlueJays have DFA'd Alek Manoah.

Some believe that there is still a chance that the Blue Jays hold onto Manoah if he clears waivers and accepts to stay but he can always asked to be released afterwards.

Well, this clears up what #BlueJays were waiting for regarding Anthony Santander's IL activation.
Tough development for Alek Manoah. But there should be a decent chance that he clears, though.
It will be interesting to see how all these moves play out over the next few days.
