Following the trade deadline, manager John Schneider met with the Blue Jays veterans to discuss the team's plan moving forward.

According to reports, Schneider told his vets that the team is not entering a full rebuild and still plans on competing in 2025.

John Schneider met with the veteran leadership post deadline to answer any questions they may have had regarding the trades they made, and to reiterate to them that the organization plans to compete and contend in '25.
"We are not a totally rebuilding team right now."

This message is discouraging for some of the players to hear since they have been hearing the same message from management for years despite not achieving anything in the post-season.
