The Toronto Blue Jays are trying to get a deal done with Bo Bichette but it looks like they are preparing for the possibility that he ends up elsewhere.

Bichette announced yesterday that he decided to decline the Blue Jays qualifying offer with was a one year deal worth $22.025 million which everyone saw coming.

Blue Jays looking for replacements incase Bo Bichette leaves

If the Blue Jays somehow miss out of Bichette, the good news is that they are a lot of solid options to bring in that could help replace him, especially in terms of offense.
When looking at pure offense, there is no one in free agency that would be better for Toronto than Kyle Schwarber who just hit 56 home runs and 132 RBIs this past season.
Matt Gelb of The Athletic proposed the idea of Toronto targeting Schwarber as a replacement for Bichette. Obviously Schwarber cannot play the infield, but can still be used as a designated hitter and could replace Bichette's offensive output. -Bishop

Another great option who would not only help replacing Bichette offense but could step into second base would be Eugenio Suarez who would fit in at second base and would also bring 49 homeruns to the table.
Suarez hit 49 home runs during the regular season and had a big ALCS against the Blue Jays as the Seattle Mariners took the series the full seven games. Because of his age, he likely won't receive a long-term contract, but the Blue Jays can afford to pay him. -Bishop

The Blue Jays would love to keep Bichette and it seems to like it is his main goal as well to return but at the same time things do happen in the off-season which is why the Blue Jays need to be ready to pivot quickly if they do.
Ross Atkins is clearly taking his time so far as he has yet to make a single signing this off-season which includes minor league players as many wonder if it is because they have a big move coming soon.
