The Toronto Blue Jays are the lead candidate to land Kyle Tucker in free agency, but insider Jon Morosi explains, that's only going to happen if the Blue Jays do no bring Bo Bichette back, as it would disrupt too many pieces.

It's already been discussed that the two cannot coexist on the Blue Jays, as it messes with the defensive positions too much, so who should the Blue Jays choose?

Where does Kyle Tucker stand with the Toronto Blue Jays?

Laura Sebben of CTV News gives the inside report on where the Tucker contract talks stand with the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays recently hosted Tucker at their practice facility in Florida, right down the road from where Tucker is from in Tampa.
"Kyle Tucker, the top player in this winter's free-agent class, visited the Toronto Blue Jays' complex in Dunedin, Fla., on Wednesday, according to multiple media reports. The meeting came one day after Toronto finalized its seven-year, US$210 million deal with Dylan Cease as the club continues an aggressive offseason. Tucker, who could command more than $300 million, would fill a major outfield need for a team fresh off a World Series run."-Sebben

Morosi, who started the Shohei Ohtani rumors back in 2023 saying he was headed to Toronto, weighed in on his thoughts of Tucker. He believes the Blue Jays have a very good chance of landing him but only if Bichette isn't involved. Not only would they both be expensive, but their positions do not mesh with the rest of the lineup.
"You could see a scenario where (Addison) Barger plays third, (Ernie) Clement plays second, (Andrés) Giménez plays short, (Anthony) Santander in left, and George Springer in right, and this becomes your club. The Jays already have great depth of outfielders, but that's actually part of the reason why they might be able to sign Tucker on terms that they view as being favourable to them.»-Morosi

While Morosi believes the Blue Jays cannot handle both, other believe that the Blue Jays will in fact make a push for both stars.
The Blue Jays are headed into winter meetings next week, and this is where everything could go down. The Blue Jays have a decision to make that could dictate their future for the next ten years.
