The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking for their closer for next season and recent reports suggest they are closing in on a deal with free agent pitcher Carlos Estevez.
The Blue Jays have added some pieces to their bullpen this off-season like Yimi Garcia and Josh Walker but are still without a closer to replace Jordan Romano who signed with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Blue Jays have shown some interest in multiple free agent pitchers this off-season but have failed to close in on any of them, the latest being Corbin Burnes who signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

According to a recent report, the Blue Jays seem interested and close to finalizing a deal that would bring former Phillies closer Carlos Estevez to Toronto for the next few years.
In a bid to address this pressing concern, the Blue Jays are reportedly on the brink of finalizing a lucrative deal with former Philadelphia Phillies closer, Carlos Estévez. The potential signing of Estévez, projected to command a substantial three-year, $42 million contract, signifies a bold step towards shoring up the team's pitching strength and fortifying their chances of success in the upcoming season. -Marino
Estevez is an incredible closer and was one of the best in the MLB last season with time split between the Phillies and the Los Angeles Angels in which he finished with a 2.45 ERA in 55 innings pitched.
Most projections believes that the Blue Jays would have to close a deal for around $42 million across 3 seasons paying
Estevez an average salary of $14 million if they want to get a deal done.
While Ross Atkins is not known for giving out lucrative deals to bullpen pitchers, adding a pitcher of Estevez' caliber to their lineup would instantly turn their bullpen around.
Hopefully Atkins can get a deal done as it would certainly help to have Estevez next season.
