The Toronto Blue Jays announce some more tough injury news yesterday when they took outfielder Anthony Santander out of the game with hip inflammation.
Blue Jays announce injury update on Anthony Santander after leaving last night's game
The Blue Jays have been having a tough time staying healthy as their team is currently loaded with injuries from Andres Gimenez and Max Scherzer to Erik Swanson and now Santander.
After the game, Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to the media about the injury stating that he is currently day to day so they are not sure if he will be in the lineup today against the Padres.
Anthony Santander (hip inflammation) is day to day per John Schneider.
«It was a little bit awkward and I don't want to take any chances with losing him for an extended period of time, so we'll see how he is tomorrow."
While Schneider stated that Santander is day to day, that could end up being not totally accurate since when Andres Gimenez first went down the same thing was said but not it has been a few weeks without him in the lineup.
Hopefully the Blue Jays get Santander back in the lineup soon.
