The Blue Jays have spent a lot of time this season acquiring pitchers for their farm system as they are currently ranked near the bottom of the league and are looking to change things up.

The Blue Jays announced that they have agreed to terms on a minor league deal with left handed pitcher Mason
Olson and have already assigned him to the Florida Complex League Blue Jays.

Olson was most recently playing independent ball in the Frontier League for
the New York Boulders in which he finished with a 2.79 ERA in 42 innings pitched prior to getting signed.
Olson was most recently pitching in the Frontier league for New York and posted a 2.79 ERA across 42 innings pitched after playing for BYU
Prior to beginning his professional career in the frontier league, Olson spent two seasons playing division 1 baseball at BYU and in his last season finished with a 2.82 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched.
Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins spoke recently regarding adding pitching depth during a press conference and fans are hoping that this is not what he meant when he said that but this is still a solid move for the future of the team nonetheless.
Hopefully Toronto will soon be announcing a real signing or trade that will affect their current roster since they are still battling all sorts of injuries.
