The Toronto Blue Jays found out more terrible news early this morning as their main free agent target in Corbin Burnes has signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Blue Jays seemed sure that they had a chance at signing Burnes since they had the highest offer on the board but unfortunately Burnes decided to go to Arizona instead.

This comes as a terrible break for the Blue Jays who desperately needed to sign Burnes if they wanted to improve their starting rotation for the 2025 season but now it looks like they are out of options.
All of the top free agents pitchers have now signed with the Blue Jays landing none of them meaning they will have to trade if they want to bring in a solid pitcher.
The Blue Jays missed out on Burnes and Teoscar Hernandez in the past 24 hours which likely has their front office freaking out.
