The Toronto Blue Jays just announced that they have acquired Seranthony Dominguez from the Baltimore Orioles and have DFA'd Chad Green to make room.
The Blue Jays completed a trade with the Orioles not long after their first game of a double header this afternoon in which they acquired Dominguez in exchange for RHP Juaron Watts-Brown.
Blue Jays DFA pitcher Chad Green
The Blue Jays completed a trade with the Orioles this afternoon for Dominiguez which caused them to have to make a roster move to make space on their roster for him.
The Blue Jays have decided to DFA relief pitcher Chad Green after another terrible outing in Toronto's 16-4 loss to the Orioles.
Seranthony Dominguez will be active for Game 2 of the doubleheader. Blue Jays designate Chad Green for assignment to make room on 26-man and 40-man rosters.

Chad Green has been designated for assignment, the Blue Jays announced.
-
CHAD GREEN IS NO LONGER A TORONTO BLUE JAY
-
During the game against the Orioles, Green gave up his league worst 14th homerun of the season which is why this move is not a big surprise at all.
Chad Green has now allowed 14 HR this year, two more than any other relief pitcher in MLB.
-
Green clearly had a very tough season and it will be interesting to see if another team ends up taking a chance on him.
Now that Green has been DFA'd there is a chance that either he is picked up off waivers from Toronto or that another team trades for him, if not he will likely end up a free agent.
