The Toronto Blue Jays are currently the best team in the American League East but unfortunately fans will once again be unable to watch their team play against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Blue Jays just wrapped up an incredible series against the New York Yankees, sweeping them in 4 games and taking over first place in the division as fans have not been this pumped in a long time.

Blue Jays fans are in trouble due to bad broadcast deal with Apple TV

Fans are currently loving how the Blue Jays are playing as things have not been this exciting in Toronto in a long time but unfortunately fans will not be able to watch their team against the Los Angeles Angels tonight.
It has been without dispute one of the most successful and energetic stretches of Blue Jays baseball in the past nine seasons, re-awakening the passion of tens of thousands of fans of the team. -Longley

The Blue Jays are coming off a great series against the Yankees but fans are being penalized by the contract with Apple TV as they will not be able to watch the Blue Jays tonight in one of the most exciting times the team has had in a long time.
Nope.

You guess it, Friday is the Jays first intrusion of Apple TV of the second half of the season, a blight that Toronto fans tend to take harder than other markets around the league. -Longley

This is awful timing for both fans and Sportsnet as the Blue Jays are currently riding a serious high but due to this Apple TV broadcast, they will not be able to cheer on their team once again.
It's the second occasion this season that the Apple TV show will roll into town at a terrible time for Sportsnet. The first was just two games into the season and denied the network of its first prime time telecast of the season. -Longley

While the Apple TV broadcast does help grow the game and give access to fans from further out to watch the game, it only stops regular fans from watching the game unless they subscribe for an Apple TV account which simply is not fair.
Having the game on Apple TV is not the issue, it is the exclusivity of it that cause a problem because that means that fans in Toronto cannot cheer on their team unless they pay.
Hopefully this contract with Apple TV comes to an end soon but it seems like the MLB likes the deal and wants to continue it.
