Blue Jays finally speaks on Anthony Santander's injury
Santander has been out for the last month due to a shoulder injury that came a bit out of nowhere but it seems to be quite serious since he has yet to begin swinging a bat.
During the press conference yesterday, Atkins finally admitted that Santander dislocated his shoulder in early May against the Los Angeles Angels and played through it for almost a month.
General manager Ross Atkins said Monday that Santander had a left shoulder subluxation after crashing into the outfield wall in Anaheim in early May. Toronto put Santander on the injured list on May 30. -Harrison
Atkins also added that Santander who has yet to begin swinging again could soon start up again as the team in hoping to get him back before the all-star break which is in two weeks.
Atkins said Santander could resume swinging soon and said it's still possible the slugger returns before the All-Star break -Harrison
Clearly the Blue Jays are partially to blame for the severity of this injury as they let him play with a dislocated shoulder for almost a month before finally pulling him from the lineup.
These are the type of decisions that upset fans because they seem to be such avoidable problems and the Blue Jays seem to always make the wrong decision.
Hopefully
Santander will have properly recovered during this time off and will be back better than ever because prior to the injury he was having some big trouble at the plate.
