The Toronto Blue Jays have been waiting for a few days now to find out who they will face between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees in the ALDS.
Blue Jays ALDS matchup is set
The Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the final game of the season to clinch the division and have a bye for the Wild Card round.
The Yankees ended up beating the Red Sox 4-0 in the final game of the series to move onto the American League Division Series against the Blue Jays
The Yankees and Red Sox went head to head in the Wild Card series, going to 3 games in which New York ended up winning with rookie pitcher Cam Schlitter having an incredible 8 innings shutout in which he only allowed 5 hits.
Yankees rookie Cam Schlittler's night is over. He went eight shutout, allowed five hits, didn't walk a batter and struck out 12. He is the first pitcher in baseball history to go eight innings, walk none and punch out 12 in a postseason game.
The Yankees will certainly be a tough matchup for the Blue Jays but the good news is that Toronto went 8-5 against the Yankees this season.
The Blue Jays are expected to send out Kevin Gausman to the mound for game 1 of the series but after that the starting rotation is still up in the air but many believe that Trey Yesavage will get the start for game 2 followed by Chris Bassitt for game 3.
