Toronto Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins stated during an press conference that he is looking for a right handed batter and it looks like they have found two solid options.

During a press conference on Monday, Atkins stated that the Blue Jays main concern at the trade deadline this year will be looking for pitching depth and a right handed batter.

The Blue Jays could look to trade for Andrew McCutchen or Harrison Bader

Last season at the trade deadline, the Blue Jays were nowhere near a playoff spot which is why they ended up making multiple trades and trading away pretty much every player on an expiring deal.
This season things are very different as they currently hold first place over the division after last night's win and will look to add a few missing pieces to their roster at the deadline.
hat means buyers like the Toronto Blue Jays will have to stay flexible as they look for potential upgrades - in Toronto's case, starting pitchers, relievers and right-handed bats. -Nicholson-Smith

According to reports, if the Blue Jays follow through on acquiring a right handed batter, they would be interested in players liked Harrison Bader or Andrew McCutchen who would not cost much to acquire.
Applied to the 2025 Blue Jays: GM Ross Atkins said Monday the Blue Jays are interested in adding a right-handed hitter to the lineup. If that's still the case three or four weeks from now, the cost of acquiring a veteran like Andrew McCutchen or Harrison Bader likely wouldn't be especially high. -Nicholson-Smith

Both Bader and McCutchen are not offensive power houses but they bring in enough offense that they would certainly help Toronto bring in more runs on a consistent basis.
McCutchen used to be one of the best hitters in the league but at his age now has slowed down quite a bit but still could be affective for Toronto if used the right way.
Hopefully Toronto makes the right choice at the deadline and improves the team instead of making them worse.
