The Toronto Blue Jays announced that they have acquired one of their former pitcher in Ryan Borucki after he was released by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Blue Jays bullpen has been dealing with a lot of uncertainties lately as it was announced that Yimi Garcia might need season ending surgery.

The Blue Jays announced this afternoon that they have signed one of their former pitcher in Borucki after he was DFA'd and released by the Pirates a few days ago.

Borucki has already been assigned to the Buffalo Bisons in Triple-A and will be active tonight as they play in Indianapolis.

The newest addition to the Blue Jays has had a tough time the last two seasons in Pittsburgh as he put up a 7.36 ERA last season in 11 innings pitched and this season has a 5.28 ERA in 30.2 innings pitched.
While his numbers have not been great lately, Borucki has had moments of greatness in the MLB like in 2020 for the Blue Jays when he has a 2.70 ERA in 16.2 innings pitched.
Borucki's best season in the MLB came two years ago when he finished with a 2.45 ERA in 40.1 innings pitched and a 4-0 record for the Pirates to go along with 33 strikeouts.
Since the Blue Jays bullpen still has all kind of injuries, there is a good chance he gets called up to Toronto soon.
