The Toronto Blue Jays acquired right handed pitcher Travis Kuhn from the Detroit Tigers during the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 Draft.

Blue Jays had quite a lot going on today at the Rule 5 draft especially in the Triple-A phase in which they landed Hedbert Perez from the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Tigers ended up losing quite a few pieces at the Rule 5 Draft including Kuhn was the Blue Jays picked up.
Tigers Rule 5 Draft Picks

RHP Luke Taggart (from COL)
RHP Jan Caraballo (from SF)
RHP John Stankiewicz (from MIN)
RHP Yendy Gomez (from LAA)

They lose

RHP RJ Petit (to COL)
INF Austin Murr (to PHI)
C Archer Brookman (to ATL)
RHP Travis Kuhn (to TOR)
INF Danny Serretti (to ARI)
The Blue Jays have now assigned Kuhn to the Buffalo Bisons but there is a good chance that he begins the season in Double-A as he has yet to play Triple-A in his career.
During the 2025 season, Kuhn split time between High-A and Double-A in which he finished with a combined 4.78 ERA in 52.2 innings pitched along with 43 strikeouts in 38 games.
This seems to be a solid depth move for the Blue Jays farm system as Kuhn has put up some solid numbers across the board since turning pro back in 2019.
Despite having a busy day at the Rule 5 Draft, Blue Jays fans are hoping to see more from their team at the Winter Meetings that these minor league moves.
