The Toronto Blue Jays would be wise to reach out to the Boston Red Sox regarding their excess depth in the outfield.
The Blue Jays have found their stride and are now legitimate AL contenders, putting them in a position to be active at the trade deadline if they see an opportunity to strengthen the roster.

Dylan Sanders from Toronto Blue Jays On Si writes that if the Blue Jays want to boost their chances at a World Series run, there are a few areas on the roster that could use upgrades, with the outfield standing out as a top priority.
"Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report recently predicted that the Boston Red Sox would trade either Jarren Duran or Wilyer Abreu at this year's deadline.
Neither player would normally be on the trade market given they each come with at least three more seasons of team control, but the Red Sox have an influx of outfielders right now.

Both players could make an impact for the Blue Jays down the stretch this season and offer long-term value at a reasonable cost.
Duran, in particular, brings versatility to the outfield and could slot into any spot as needed.
When Daulton Varsho is healthy, Duran would likely settle into left field, where he'd still represent a significant offensive upgrade, even in what's considered a down year for him at the plate.

Abreu may not be a household name, but he's been a standout this season, showcasing a significant power surge alongside stellar defensive play.
"Through 64 games, he has slashed .245/.321/.471 with 13 home runs and 32 RBI. He hits the ball hard and seems to have solid plate discipline." -Sanders
While this season has been an outlier in terms of power for Abreu, there's nothing in his game that suggests it's fluke. In fact, he might turn out to be one of the best value pickups available at the trade deadline.
