Toronto Blue Jays announce important update on Alejandro Kirk's return
The Toronto Blue Jays have been without all-star catcher Alejandro Kirk for a few games now and have finally given an update on his return.
Kirk was placed on 7-day IL a few days ago with a concussion after taking a foul tip to the head against the Detroit Tigers earlier in the week resulting in the team calling up Ali Sanchez.

According to the latest update, Kirk has began baseball activities again and he is currently on track to play in a rehab game with the Buffalo Bisons in Triple-A on Saturday.
If all goes well on his rehab assignment, the team is apparently expecting him to be back in the lineup on Sunday when the Blue Jays host the Kansas City Royals at the Rogers Centre.
Alejandro Kirk (concussion) is increasing baseball activity. If he continues on track he's on, Blue Jays will look to get him in a rehab game with triple-A Buffalo by Saturday.

This is great news for Toronto as they have been struggling quite a bit without Kirk in the lineup as they have yet to get a win since he was placed on 7 day IL.
Sanchez and Tyler Heineman have been doing a solid job since Kirk went down but getting him back in the lineup will certainly make a big difference.
Hopefully the Blue Jays can string together a few wins before Kirk makes his return on Sunday.
