Toronto Blue Jays announce major injury update on Alek Manoah's return
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider gave quite a few update this afternoon ahead of their game against the Chicago Cubs including a monstrous injury update on pitcher Alek Manoah.
Manoah most recently had two starts in Double-A with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats that did not go great but were also not complete failures which is why this latest update makes sense.
Blue Jays announce that Alek Manoah will start for the Buffalo Bisons tomorrow
News broke this afternoon that Manoah is now one step closer to returning to the Blue Jays rotation as he will be starting tomorrow for the Buffalo Bisons in Triple-A.
The goal for the Blue Jays is to have Manoah throw between 70-75 pitches tomorrow followed by Shane Bieber who will start on Friday and there are hoping to get 80-85 pitches out of him.

Manoah and Bieber both seem to be approaching a return which means the six man rotation will now jump to 7 will Manoah returning which will force Toronto to place on of their starting pitcher in the bullpen.
Crazy to think that #BlueJays could be 7 healthy starters deep soon.
Can't remember the last time that happened for this team.

The issue here is that Manoah has an extremely high ceiling with what he has been able to do in the past but the worry is that he has not been that same pitcher in years which is why moving someone to keep him can cause some issues.
The Blue Jays have some seriously big roster moves coming up in the next few weeks.
