Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer returned to the mound on on a rehab stint with the Buffalo Bisons tonight and it looks like everything went well including the latest update.
The Blue Jays have been waiting a long time for Scherzer to deal with him thumb issue which was originally only suppose to take a couple weeks but it has now been over two months.

Scherzer took the mound for the Bisons tonight for a rehab assignment and seem to have some solid command as he finished with an average speed of 91.9 MPH including a top speed of 94MPH while giving up 2 earned runs and striking out 4 batters in 4.1 innings pitched.
Max Scherzer threw 4.1 innings and 56 pitches in a rehab outing for triple-A Buffalo, lifted after striking out Columbus' Kyle Datres to open the fifth.
He sat 91.9 with his fastball, topped out at 94, and got 11 whiffs while allowing two runs on four hits with four Ks.
According to Hazel Mae, Scherzer is now expected to rejoin the Blue Jays in Philadelphia as they look to see how he feels after pitching and then will decide when they bring him back into the lineup.
