Toronto Blue Jays announce new date for Alek Manoah to return to the lineup
The Toronto Blue Jays have been patiently waiting for pitcher Alek Manoah to return from injury but it looks like his return day will be a bit later than expected.
Some fans are worried that with Manoah's return, Ross Atkins will not seriously look at a starting pitcher at the trade deadline but now with Manoah's return to the mound being pushed back, they will likely have no choice but to bring someone in.
Blue Jays announce when Alek Manaoh will return to the mound
The Blue Jays were expecting to get Manoah back in late July/ early August but it looks like they will have to wait a bit longer to get him back according to reports.
Manoah is expected to being a rehab assignment on Monday and with that, the team is now expecting him to return to the lineup in mid to late August.

Manager John Schneider added that he believes a mid August return is very possible but it all really comes down to how Manoah feels after taking the mound a couple times.

Getting Manoah back could be huge for the Blue Jays especially right before the playoffs but it really comes down to which pitcher he will be when he returns.
If the Blue Jays get 2022 Manoah, they will seriously have a chance at winning the World Series but if they get Manoah from last season, they will have some big problems.
