Toronto Blue Jays slugger Anthony Santander is expected to return to the starting lineup on Saturday, manager John Schneider announced after dropping their series opener to the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday. -Sportsnet

Blue Jays manager John Schneider says he expects Anthony Santander to be ready to play on Saturday: «Yeah, I think he should be good to go tomorrow. He was feeling better as the day went on.»
While this is good news that the Blue Jays will not have another player on IL for a longer period of time this does come with certain issues.
Santander has been quite terrible at the plate this season and with his injury that has been pulling him in and out of the lineup, it might bring on more harm than good.
Clearly something is not going well for Santander this season, while it might just be a slump, his injury might be more severe than the team believes which would make sense as to why he has been playing so poorly.
Hopefully bringing him back into the lineup ends up being a good move but it definitely comes with quite a bit of risk.
