The Toronto Blue Jays announced a significant update on relief pitcher Yimi Garcia's injury as it looks like he is rapidly progressing towards a return.
The Blue Jays bullpen has been falling apart lately as Ryan Burr and Nick Sandlin both went down earlier this week while the bullpen was already struggling with injuries which is why these problems did not help at all.

The Blue Jays announced that Garcia threw a bullpen session on Friday in Toronto which went very well and he is expected to throw another bullpen sometime in the coming days.
If everything continues to go well with Garcia's recovery, there is a chance that he skips a rehab assignment and returns directly to the Blue Jays bullpen but that will depend on how his next few sessions go.

This is great news for the Blue Jays as getting Garcia bad would help the bullpen big time who lost two pitchers in a matter of hours earlier this week and are currently struggling.
Garcia has had a solid season so far as he currently has a 3.86 ERA on the year in 21 innings pitched with 25 strikeouts and a 1.19 WHIP to go along with 3 saves.
The Blue Jays did just call up Tommy Nance but getting a solid arm like Garcia back in the mix will only help.
