Toronto Blue Jays Bo Bichette finally speaks about his expiring contract and future plans

The Toronto Blue Jays have been on a roll lately but everyone is still wondering what the plan is regarding shortstop Bo Bichette and his future in Toronto which Bichette touched on during an interview yesterday.
The Blue Jays just wrapped up a full sweep on both their series at home as they get ready to hit the road tonight against the Chicago White Sox in hopes of a better outcome than last time.

Bichette recently sat down with the Toronto Star for an interview and spoke of his season in which his expiring contract came up in conversation and Bichette admitted a few things.
The Blue Jays shortstop has been here his entire career and with everything he has faced over the last six years, he admitted that if he were to leave Toronto next season, it certainly would not be easy.
«Honestly, with the ups and downs we've had as an organization in the past six years - super high, super lows - and getting to the point where we've gotten now, it would be really tough not to see it through.

Clearly Bichette wants to stay in Toronto from how he is talking but unfortunately it is not necessarily up to him, the Blue Jays first have to make him a reasonable offer then he has to decide if it is worth it or if he would be better off somewhere else.
During the interview, Bichette also spoke about how he is flexible when it comes to his spot in the lineup and wants to be wherever he can help the team the most.
«I'm open to seeing where we can get better, if that's something that they think is better for the team,'' Bichette told the Star during a dugout interview early Sunday morning - a few hours before he cranked a solo shot into the left-field second deck and scored the winning run in a 3-2 outcome that extended Toronto's win streak to eight games. -DiManno
There has been still no details on if the Blue Jays have finally begun a discussion with Bichette about a contract extension but the one certainty is that if he does leave, he will not be easy to replace.
