The Toronto Blue Jays confirmed this afternoon that relief pitcher Yimi Garcia is done for the year as he needs season ending surgery.
Earlier this week there were reports that Garcia was looking to meet without doctors for a second opinion on his injured elbow and that he might need surgery.

The Blue Jays announced a few injury updates this afternoon in which manager John Schneider confirmed that Garcia will have surgery and that his season is officially over.

This is unfortunate for the Blue Jays since they are having some issues in their bullpen lately and would have benefited from getting Garcia back for the playoffs but it looks like that won't happen.
Despite it being a shortened season for Garcia, he finished with a decent numbers as he currently has a 3.86 ERA in 22 games with 6 saves and 25 strikeouts in 21 innings pitched.
