The Toronto Blue Jays have been taking their time with outfielder Anthony Santander's recovery and have now given another update.
In the last report, the Blue Jays stated that Santander finally started swinging again from both side and was slowly beginning his recovery process as there is hope he returns this season.

According to reports, Santander has been working through his hitting progression and is set to meet up with the Blue Jays this weekend when they head to Miami to play the Marlins.

While Santander has had an extremely rough 2025 season in Toronto filled with injury problems and struggles on the field, the team is hoping if he does return this year he will be able to contribute.
In 50 games this season, Santander has 6 homeruns, 18 RBIs, a .179 batting average and .273 on base percentage which is far from what the team expected when he signed his massive deal in the off-season.
Hopefully this time off is exactly what Santander needed to get back to his regular ways of 30+ homeruns a season.
