The Blue Jays will surely try to retain a couple of these players like Bichette and Bassitt but there is no guarantee as multiple teams will likely be making them some very lucrative offers.
Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro will not have much time to think about the heartbreaking loss before they have to get back to work as many moves will need to be made if they expect to return to the finals next season.
By far the biggest decision for the Blue Jays will be surrounding Bichette and if they make him an offer, how big will they go.
As for their starting rotation, with both Bassitt and Scherzer entering free agency, the Blue Jays will need to look at who they want to bring back or what players they see as good replacements.
