News broke earlier this morning that they Blue Jays would be making Bichette a qualifying offer which has been confirmed just now.

The amount of a qualifying offer is calculated by the average salary of the 125 highest paid players in the league which this season sits at $22.025 million.
The Blue Jays have officially made the $22.025 million offer to Bichette ahead of the deadline this evening.

While Bichette is expected to decline the offer, he might end up accepting it after all since no one expected Shane Bieber to accept this player option this off-season which he did a few days ago.
