Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah speaks on his current state but seems a bit delusional
The Toronto Blue Jays have been patiently waiting for Alek Manoah to return and it seems like the pitcher is confident he will come back in top shape but he seems to have forgotten how rough the last few seasons have been.
Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah speaks on his current state but seems to have forgotten about his past
Manoah has had a tough time over the last couple years as 2024 was rough due to injuries and lack of innings pitched with a lot of inconsistency on the mound while 2023 was a complete disaster as he finished with a 5.87 ERA.
The Blue Jay pitcher stated in a recent interview that he has been able to improve his pitching a lot during his bullpen sessions while mentioning that his goal is to build an indestructible base with hopes of returning towards the end of the season.
Alek Manoah was in great spirits here in Tampa and continues to throw bullpens, targeting a return to help the #BlueJays down the stretch.
He says he understands his delivery much better now and wants to build «an indestructible base»
«I want to be healthy. I want to be great.»
Manoah's confidence is definitely great for the Blue Jays since he seems eager to get back on the mound but at the same time it also seems a bit out of place since Manoah has not been dominant since 2022.
The Blue Jays ideally need Manoah to return to the pitcher he was back in 2022 but after a major surgery such as Tommy John, the chances of that are extremely slim especially with how he has played the last two years.
The Manoah situation seems to be that the fan base is hoping for the best in his return but expecting the worst.
