Max Scherzer "reported kind of feeling similar to after his last outing (in Cleveland), which is good," said John Schneider.
Scherzer said after start his thumb fatigued in fifth and he began feeling tightness in his forearm, but he was able to finish frame.
Scherzer did feel a similar pain to this after his first outing against the Cleveland Guardians but now that he is dealing with a thumb injury as well, this certainly does not look good.
While Scherzer might able to push through the pain for a few starts this season, there is no way that this is sustainable long term which is why Toronto needs to start exploring other options.
