Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Braydon Fisher had an unexpected 2025 season which resulted in him placing decently high in AL Rookie of the Year voting.
Braydon Fisher receives one fourth place vote for Rookie of the Year
Athletics slugger Nick Kurtz was the unanimous winner for the AL Rookie of the Year award but most were quite surprised when the numbers for the votes came out.

Fisher ended up finishing in 10th place for the AL Rookie of the Year voting which many were surprised to see and he actually ended up getting one fourth place vote.

Blue Jays fans were also quick to point out how Fisher ending up finishing higher than New York Yankees rookie Jasson Dominguez who was talked about all season long.

What do we say when they call Braydon Fisher the new «Martian»
Fisher finished the 2025 season with a 2.70 ERA in 52 games with 62 strike outs in 50 innings pitched to go along with a 7-0 record which no one including Blue Jays fans saw coming at the start of the season.
Trey Yesavage would have certainly been a front runner for the award but unfortunately did not play in enough games to qualify.
