Toronto Blue Jays surprising roster moves announced - One promoted and one DFA'd
The Toronto Blue Jays take on the Colorado Rockies tonight and announced some surprising roster moves ahead of the game involving Ali Sanchez and Buddy Kennedy.
The Blue Jays have now DFA'd two players this week as relief pitcher Chad Green was DFA'd and released from his contract yesterday as he is now a free agent.

Toronto is set to take on the Rockies tonight and announced that catcher Ali Sanchez has been designated for assignment while they have activated Buddy Kennedy who was called up to the taxi squad yesterday.

Catcher Tyler Heineman has apparently avoided a concussion and will not be back in the lineup which has resulted in Sanchez being DFA'd which left a roster spot open for Kennedy.
With Tyler Heineman avoiding a concussion and testing himself out last night after foul tip Saturday, Blue Jays designate fellow catcher Ali Sanchez for assignment.
Infielder Buddy Kennedy selected to roster from triple-A Buffalo in his place. Kennedy was up on taxi last night.

This is a surprising move since Sanchez has been playing well during his time up with the Blue Jays and it will be interesting to see if he ends up returning to Triple-A or if he will test the free agent market.
Even if Sanchez enters free agency, the Blue Jays can always re-sign him to a minor league deal if he does not find anything better unless he gets claimed off waivers.
