Anthony Santander is coming off a rough season in 2025 and the latest rumors suggest that the Toronto Blue Jays might look at trading him.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider during an interview recently that he has high expectations for Santander going into next season but that does not guarantee that he will still be on the team once the season begins.

Blue Jays could look to trade Anthony Santander

During a recent report, Brady Farkas mentioned that there is a possibility that the Blue Jays could look to trade Santander this off-season mainly due to the size of his contract.
"As we get ready to move the calendar to 2026, I'm starting to wonder something. I'm not saying it's going to happen, or even that it's likely, but I'm just starting to wonder if it could.

Could the Toronto Blue Jays actually move on from Anthony Santander after just one year?" -Brady Farkas

The Blue Jays are looking to spend a lot of money this off-season in hopes of landing both Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette which is why if they can get Santander's $18.5 million off the payroll it would certainly help.
While a roster with all of these players together would technically work, the main issue is really the price of it all,.
"What if the Blue Jays want to sign Tucker AND one of the infielders? It would cost a ton of money, but the Blue Jays don't seem to care about salaries or financial penalties right now. Could they actually go all-in and sign both players? It doesn't fit roster-wise right now, but it would if the team was willing to move on from Santander." -Brady Farkas

The main issue with trading Santander right now would be that he could take off next season and become the player he was in 2024 but the Blue Jays would not get much of a return due to his injuries and how he played last season.
