Toronto steakhouse has made an lifetime offer to Bo Bichette in hopes of having him re-sign with the Toronto Blue Jays.

A downtown spot called Animl Steakhouse and Cocktail Den put the idea in writing on Monday, posting a letter that offered Bichette free steak for life if he stays.
It's a fun, very Toronto kind of plea, and it lands because Bichette is actually in decision time after the club extended him a qualifying offer on Nov. 6.
That qualifying offer was reported at $22.025 million for one year, and it sits on top of the bigger reality that he finished his three-year, $33.6 million arbitration deal.
Bichette reminded everyone why the market is loud, he hit .311 with 181 hits, 18 homers, and 94 RBIs in 2025 while playing through that late knee issue.

Bo Bichette and Toronto Blue Jays get steak pitch

I'm laughing at the «free steaks» angle, but I also get the nerves, because losing a homegrown core guy always stings more.
The offer blew up because it's easy to picture, one player, one city, one booth saved forever, and it fits how Toronto backed him during the World Series run.

To be clear, a steakhouse promise doesn't move the payroll needle, but it does show how the market sells itself when it wants a star to stay.
From the team side, the Jays already did the formal step by extending the qualifying offer, and from Bichette's side, the decision is still about years, role, and dollars.
Animl's letter is really a signal flare for the bigger conversation, because the next milestone isn't the next meme, it's whether the talks turn from one-year protection to a long-term number.
