Most of the big free agents available now gone which is why a lot of trade rumors have been flying around including one with the Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants.

The Blue Jays are expected to move on from outfielder Nathan Lukes in the coming weeks as they attempt to free up some space in their outfielder and get a decent return.

Trade offer between the Giants and Blue Jays for Nathan Lukes

While Lukes has been tied in to multiple trade rumors lately, there is still a possibility that they keep him and decide to move another outfielder like Joey Loperfido or Jonatan Clase instead.
If the Blue Jays keep Lukes but sign Kyle Tucker, he will likely end up turning into a bench player which would be wasting his value.
That means it will likely be someone like Lukes (projected 1.6 total fWAR) or one of the younger players, Loperfido and Clase (both projected for a fWAR of 0.0) that are the most expendable from a Blue Jays stand point. -Sookram

As they look to clear up space, the Blue Jays could likely get Casey Schmidtt, Tyler Fitzgerald or Christian Koss in return from the Giants
In return the Blue Jays could target an infielder along the likes of Christian Koss. Tyler Fitzgerald or Casey Schmitt. All three played at least 74 games last season with the Giants, and while non of them can be considered a replacement for Bo Bichette, they would give the Blue Jays some extra depth in case Bo doesn't return. -Sookram

Bringing in Schmidtt would make the most sense for the Blue Jays because it would give them a back up option for Ernie Clement at third base and he is also the best offensive player out of the 3 players.
Last season Schmidtt played 95 games for the Giants in which he hit 12 home runs and 40 RBIs with a .237 batting average and .305 on base percentage.
While most fans would hope for a better return with all Lukes did for the team last season, they simply need to free up roster space and the chances of them coming out on top in a trade is very slim.
