TSN insider insults the Toronto Blue Jays newly acquired players
In a recent report, TSN baseball insider Steven Phillips stated that he believes the Toronto Blue Jays and Ross Atkins did not acquire any premium players.
The Blue Jays had a busy trade deadline and acquired some big time names like Shane Bieber and Louis Varland but for some reason some believe that they still did not do enough.
Steven Phillips states that the Blue Jays did not do enough at the trade deadline
During a recent report, TSN MLB insider and former New York Mets GM Steven Phillips stated that he believes the Blue Jays did not acquire any premium talent at the trade deadline.
Jays' general manager Ross Atkins was active and improved the club. He didn't acquire any premium talent, but neither did the Yankees, Red Sox or Rays. -Phillips
Phillips did state that the Blue Jays did improve their team at the trade deadline but added that none of the players acquired were considered premium talent.
This is quite the statement since Toronto added Shane Bieber who is a former Triple Crown winner and AL Cy Young winner which most would consider a premium player.
MLB insider Keegan Matheson even stated after the trade deadline than Bieber could end up being one of the best pitchers in baseball depending on how he plays when he returns from injury.
"He is capable of being one of the best pitchers in baseball."

It is had to not also look at Seranthony Dominguez and Louis Varland who most would consider premium players especially with the ERA's they have this season.
