The Toronto Blue Jays have made some big additions for next season but have multiple players in the final year of their contract including George Springer.

The Blue Jays have made some massive additions to their roster this off-season and it looks like they plan on still making more moves.
However, they have quite a few returning players such as Springer, Kevin Gausman, Daulton Varsho and other key pieces on expiring deals.
While the main focus for right now is adding players for next season, Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro need to start planning ahead and signing players to extension if not they will have a lot of holes to fill at the end of the season.

George Springer likely entering his last year in Toronto

Springer is now entering the final year of his deal but according to a recent report, it is believed that this will be his last year in Toronto as it is very unlikely the team re-signs him due to his age.
George Springer is set to play out the final season of his contract with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2026 -and it will likely be his last with the team, barring an unexpected trade this upcoming year. -Wrixon

The reasoning behind the Blue Jays not likely to bring Springer back on a new deal is not only his age but the fact that they have Santander locked down for 4 more years and they both have the same role as DH.
The issue is that the Blue Jays already have a designated hitter signed for the long haul: Anthony Santander. -Wrixon

If the Blue Jays are able to get Springer at a cost friendly deal, depending on how his season in 2026 goes, it might make sense to bring him back on a two or three year deal.
Another factor is that Springer is coming off an unbelievable season and many expect to see a dip in his production as many believe he will not be able to put up the same incredible numbers he did last year.
Blue Jays fans need to cherish this upcoming season with Springer since it may be his last.
