An update was just announced regarding Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster Buck Martinez as he is currently dealing with some medical issues.
Martinez has been missing quite a bit of time this season due to scheduled time off but that ended up being extended due to some medical issues he has been having which is why he missed the Canada Day series against the New York Yankees.

Fans have been excited to get Martinez back in the booth which was supposed to happen at the beginning of July but after the latest update, it looks like they will have to wait a bit longer.

In the meantime, Joe Siddall will continue to work the bulk of the games alongside play-by-play voice Dan Shulman. That pair will be in the booth for the six-game homestand that gets under way on Friday. -Longley
The sad truth in all of this is that Martinez might not have much time left as a broadcaster for the Blue Jays with all of health issues but the good news is that fans have been loving Siddall in his abscence.
