Many teams such as the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox and New York Mets have put in their first offer as the Red Sox actually offer was just announced.

Reports announced that the Toronto Blue Jays have made their first offer to Soto but there has yet to an update as to how much that exactly was while the Boston Red Sox offer has just been announced.

The Red Sox offer to be free agent Juan Soto has been announced

According to reports, the Red Sox have made their first offer to Juan Soto which sits at $50 million per year on a 12 year term for a total of $600 million which is quite a bit under what Soto is expecting but it is only their first offer.

The Boston Red Sox have reportedly offered Juan Soto a 12 year contract around $50m per season

The Red Sox are looking to have a big bounce back season in 2025 after missing the playoffs last season which is why they are going after such big names this winter in hopes on returning to the top of the division.

Apparently Boston has their eyes on multiple top tier free agents such as pitcher Corbin Burnes but the top player they are hoping to sign like a few other teams is Juan Soto.

“The Red Sox have put Juan Soto at the top of their free agent list. Soto's fit would be almost seamless, helping to protect Rafael Devers. The plan was to balance the lineup this offseason, nevertheless the lefty-batting Soto would be an exception.”

It will be interesting to see where Soto ends up signing and for how much if the Red Sox first offer is coming in at $600 million, Soto should be able to come close to the $700 million he wants.
