Insider Shams Charania announce on the Pat McAfee show this morning that New York Yankees legend is looking to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Timberwolves current owner Glen Taylor has been trying to sell the team for some time now and a sale was agreed to with Alex Rodriguez and partner Marc Lore in 2021 but there has been problems with the sale since.

Rodriguez and his business partner Marc Lore agreed to purchase the Timberwolves from Taylor in 2021 but the deal has been halted due to Taylor stating that Lore and Rodriguez breeched the purchase agreement.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Rodriguez and Lore have put $940 million in escrow sitting in a JP Morgan account to be wired to Taylor in hopes of finally finalizing this deal to become the new owners in Minnesota.
"Within a month we should know who's gonna be the owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves..

Charania believes that the sale should go through within the next month as Rodriguez and Lore are looking to finalize the deal for $1.5 billion as quickly as possible.
This purchase is seen by many as an unbelievable move since the Timberwolves popularity continues to rise with Anthony Edwards on the team which many believe he will be the next face of the NBA.
