The MLB announced the Gold Glove Finalists for each position yesterday in which the Toronto Blue Jays have 5 players named as finalists.

The Blue Jays have been having a tough time so far in the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners but they still seem to have a lot of confidence in themselves going into game 3 especially after all this big news.

5 Blue Jays players nominated as Gold Glove finalists

Alejandro Kirk was named a catcher finalist for the Gold Glove along with Carlos Narvaez and Dillon Dingler which would be the first Gold Glove of his career.

As for first baseman, the Blue Jays actually have both Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Ty France named as finalists along with Cleveland Guardians Carlos Santana.
Two Blue Jays first basemen were named finalists at the position: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Ty France (who was acquired from the Minnesota Twins at the trade deadline). Guerrero won the award in 2022. France (9) and Guerrero (8) finished second and third in the majors in DRS for first baseman this season. Carlos Santana of the Cleveland Guardians is the other finalist at first base. -TSN

For second base, it is not much of a surprise that Andres Gimenez has been named as a finalist for the Gold Glove since he is one of the best defenders in the MLB.
Andres Gimenez was named a finalist at second base in his first season with the Blue Jays. Despite playing in only 101 games this year, Gimenez ranked fourth among second basemen in DRS. Gimenez is a three-time Gold Glover and won the Platinum Glove for the best fielder in the majors in 2023. The other finalists are Luis Rengifo of the Los Angeles Angels and Marcus Semien of the Texas Rangers. -TSN

Finally at third base, Ernie Clement has also been named as a finalist alongside Maikel Garcia and Jose Ramirez.
Ernie Clement of the Blue Jays was named a finalist at third base. Clement led all major leaguers in defensive Wins Above Replacement (2.9), per Baseball Reference. He finished fourth in the majors in DRS at third base (11), despite playing only 604 innings at the spot. No other player in the top five played fewer than 1,000 innings this year. Clement is a finalist alongside Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez and Maikel Garcia of the Kansas City Royals. -TSN

France winning at first base migth end up being a long shot but the other four Blue Jays players have a real chance at winning a Gold Glove this season.
