Aaron Boone fires back at Buck Martinez over comments on the Yankees
The series between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays have yet to even begin yet the drama has already started between Aaron Boone and Buck Martinez.
A few weeks back, Martinez was live on air during a Blue Jays broadcast when he stated that the Yankees were not a good team.
Aaron Boone responds to Buck Martinez' comments
Boone held a press conference today ahead of the start of the ALDS in which he named the Yankees starters for game 1 and 2 while also taking a shot at Blue Jays Martinez.
The Yankees manager stated that contrary to some beliefs in Canada, the Yankees are a good team then clarified that he was talking about Martinez' comments from a few weeks ago.
Aaron Boone on the Yankees: "Contrary to some thoughts up here [in Toronto], we're a really good team."
After a follow-up question: "I know Buck [Martinez] had some thoughts, that's all I was responding to. He's wrong."

Boone then added that regardless of these comments made by Martinez, the Yankees need to perform if they plan on beating the Blue Jays.
