Alex Vesia announces gut wrenching news and thanks the Blue Jays
Last night, terrible news was announced as Vesia stated that he and his wife lost their infant daughter on October 26th.
The Dodgers pitcher posted a lenghty message thanking the entire baseball community for their support during this extremely difficult time.
Alex Vesia just shared a message on his Instagram:
Our little angel we love you forever & you're with us always.
Our beautiful daughter went to heaven Sunday October 26th.

Vesia ended up thanking the Blue Jays as well in his message last night as their entire bullpen wrote his number 51 on their hat right next to the World Series logo to show their support.
Every Blue Jays reliever had 51 written on their hat during Game 6 to pay their respects to Dodgers reliever Alex Vesia, who is away from the team to deal with a personal matter
This was a very kind move by the Blue Jays showing that despite these two teams battling in a series for the league title, some things are simply much bigger than baseball.
The entire baseball community wishes the Vesia family their thoughts and love during these extremely difficult times.
