Arizona is looking to apparently make some big moves this winter which apparently includes trading one of their best players in Ketel Marte as they want to switch things up.
According to reports, there has already been a total of 7 teams that have reached out to the Diamondbacks about Marte.

Marte could make a ton of sense for the Blue Jays depending on how things play out this off-season but it looks like if they were to go through with the trade they would move over Andres Gimenez to shortstop permanently.
What makes Marte so attractive as a trade chip is his team-friendly deal. He is owed just $102.5 million over the next six seasons (sixth-year is a player option), which is a relative steal in today's game for a player producing 4+ bWAR over the past three seasons. The 32-year-old does have some injury concerns - he missed time both this year and last year on the IL - but his contract and output are such as steal that it would be tough to pass up. -Shushkewich
The main issue here is that f they do trade for Marte and move Gimenez over to second base, they would have to let Bichette walk in free agency as they simply would have nowhere for him to play.
The only way they could bring in Marte and keep Bichette is if they move on from Ernie Clement and place one of the two at third base which is a very unlikely scenario.
