The Toronto Blue Jays are trying to improve their starting rotation and a blockbuster trade with the Minnesota Twins could be in the works.

The Blue Jays have been rumored to be in on multiple pitchers this off-season as they have been apparently looking at a trade with the Brewers for Freddy Peralta.

Blue Jays could end up going after Joe Ryan

The Twins have really fallen apart this past season and have traded away the majority of their stars which included sending Louis Varland and Ty France at the trade deadline to Toronto.
The Minnesota Twins had a fire sale at the trade deadline last season. They traded multiple key pieces, including Carlos Correa, Jhoan Duran, Griffin Jax, and seven others. It's possible the Twins will continue their rebuild and move players with value. That includes their ace pitcher Joe Ryan. -Trammel

If the Twins continue to off-load all of their talented players in hopes of a rebuild, Joe Ryan might be on his way out as well and could end up being a perfect fit for the Blue Jays.
The asking price for Ryan will be high, but he would be an instant upgrade for this starting rotation. He isn't currently on a long-term contract, and the Blue Jays should at least gauge his value. -Trammel

Ryan would certainly come at a decently high price but the Blue Jays would end up getting the perfect piece to bolster their starting rotation and it would likely become one of the best in the MLB.
Last season, Ryan finished with a 3.42 ERA in 31 games with a 13-10 record in 171 innings pitched while also striking out a total of 194 batters in that time.
While Ross Atkins has yet to complete any major moves this off-season, fans are hoping that the first major league move will be a big one after all this time of waiting for something to happen.
