Blue Jays announce last minute starting rotation changes due to injury
The Toronto Blue Jays announced some last minute starting rotation changes this afternoon as Chris Bassitt will be pitching tomorrow against the New York Yankees while Max Scherzer is set to pitch Sunday.
The Blue announce earlier this week that during Scherzer's last start, they decided to pull him early as he was dealing with some back problems that he claimed were not too serious.

Toronto announced yesterday that Kevin Gausman would be on the mound tonight followed by Scherzer tomorrow and Bassitt on Sunday but it looks like plans have changed.
Gausman will still take the mound tonight but the Blue Jays will have Bassitt pitch tomorrow followed by Scherzer on Sunday to give him an extra day of rest with his injured back.

Regardless of the change, it was just to help out Scherzer with a bit more rest, it seems as though the injury is still nothing to worry about.
This series is huge for the Blue Jays as they lead the AL East by 3 games ahead of the Yankees which is why they need to win the series at a minimum.
The Blue Jays take on the Yankees tonight at 7:05 PM for the first game of the series.
