Toronto Blue Jays catcher Tyler Heineman took some time to reflect on the season but finally spoke to the fan base about the heartbreaking loss.
Tyler Heineman delivers message to Blue Jays fanbase
After a storybook season, there is no doubt that the Blue Jays are still licking their wounds from the heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 7 of the World Series.
Tyler Heineman says the Blue Jays players were left with a «sour taste in [their] mouths» and they want to get back and finish the job.
«The guys that are for sure coming back are thinking this way, and the guys that might be coming back are also thinking this way»
Additionally, Heineman added that he believes that all the players that are returning are thinking this way and he thinks that even the players that are not sure where they will be next season are hoping to come back because they are also in the same frame of mind.
Heineman said that it was not only the loss in the World Series that was so heartbreaking but it was also the way everything went down and how the Blue Jays really had a shot at winning it all.
"And then to not achieve that is heartbreaking and something that just doesn't sit right with anyone, really." -Heineman
Clearly the Blue Jays are not hanging their hat on the fact that they made it to the World Series and will not be satisfied until they actually win it.
