The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to make a big splash this off-season in free agency and could be looking at a contract worth more than $400 million.
Blue Jays could be looking at $430 million contract with Kyle Tucker
Tucker is the top free agent available heading this winter and is expected to land a historically larger deal from wherever he ends up signing.
Tucker is seen as the best free agent available this offseason. Finkelstein projects him to sign a 10-year, $430 million deal this offseason. Obviously, Tucker would be a major investment for the Blue Jays, especially after giving Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a $500 million deal earlier this year. -Mohammed
If the Blue Jays end up signing Tucker he will technically be their highest paid player per season since Vladimir Guerrero Jr's average salary sits at $33.33 million per season.
Tucker did have a down year last season with only 22 home runs but there has been some indication that his numbers were down at Wrigley Field since his numbers were much better on the road.
Tucker had a down year by his standards last season. He slashed .266/.377/.464 with 22 home runs. However, his splits indicate that perhaps some of his struggles could be attributed to playing at Wrigley Field. His numbers on the road were stellar. He also battled through a hand injury in the second half. -Mohammed
Despite the 2025 season, Tucker has 134 home runs since 2021 which is why adding him to the Blue Jays offense would certainly help them return to the World Series next season.
While Tucker would definitely be an expensive contract for the Blue Jays, if they are serious about winning, they will need to spend money to bring in big time players.
